AA ART - Gardening piece

1998 | intervention in public space (Jerusalem) | plants

In November 1998, at one of the main entrances to Jerusalem, on a slope that is usually tended by the municipality, we planted, stealthily, flowers, which formed the Hebrew logo, translated as: AA ART (alef. alef. omanut).
The plants received water supply from the irrigation system which happened to be disconnected from its water source at the time of planting and was reconnected few days after the planting.
The piece survived till May 99, when the slope had been prepared for the next season. During this period, it was tended, weeded and watered by the city gardeners.
