collective film
This workshop is proposed to a group of people (teenagers or adults), with a common interest/focus. It combines basic video-making training, introduction to cinema language(s), and the elaboration of a film - be it documentary, fiction, experimental (and at best, a mixture or genres)- around a selected subject.
All the participants are the film authors. They all participate in the creative writing or the film, in decision making and in the technical roles (camera, sound, editing). It is a common creation.
While working towards a final "product" we don't have a pre-determined model. In the workshop itself we try to develop a form that is appropriate both to the subject and to the collective nature of the film. Meaning, we don't try to merge the multiplicity of authors into one voice or point of view, but rather look for forms that will allow the coexistence of different approaches and point of views.
