Reanactment Film Workshop
In this two-days workshop we will explore some methods of storytelling through the powerful tool of reanactement. Reanactment is the repetition, the performance or the replay of a past event, that is made FOR the camera. It is an interesting cinematic device because it is situated on the blurry line between documentary and fiction.
Each participant will chose a short story, an incident, a situation she has experienced or witnessed and would like to re-tell. There's no imposed subject-matter, the only important constraint is that it should be based on a personal experience.
We will work mainly in pairs, but each participant will work on her own story and will have a full control on what is told and how. The pairs system is there to facilitate some of the steps that are too difficult to do on one's own and it is also an opportunity to learn some useful skills.
It is important to note that the workshop is focused on the process. End results are welcome but they are not the goal in this stage.
